Need motivation? 7 reasons why you should sell on Fiverr today!

Haven’t created a Fiverr profile yet? Do you have a Fiverr profile with just one gig sitting there and haven’t been motivated to actively make your account successful? Here are 7 reasons why you need to get off up your ass and start selling on Fiverr right now!

1. Fiverr is the 131th most visited site in the world and growing

Since mid-2013, Fiverr’s traffic and popularity has shot up! What does this mean for you? More potential customers that you otherwise wouldn’t get. The traffic on Fiverr is insane and Fiverr actively buys ads on Google for keywords that are often searched when someone is looking to pay to outsource some content. Fiverr is actively getting traffic everyday for you so you can get more sales and hence make more money!

2. There are sellers on Fiverr making almost $200,000 a year

I know $5 for  work sounds small time but with enough volume and upselling for things like gig extras or other services, there are sellers on Fiverr making a killing. There’s one popular SEO service provider who gets over 100 orders a day! There are even sellers on Fiverr who managed to make enough money that it helped them buy a house. If you put it into perspective, you’re at least very likely to make a decent side income you otherwise wouldn’t have with very little work but it’s always possible to earn a lot more on Fiverr than most people think.

3. You can sell virtually anything on Fiverr

You don’t have to do a lot of research or thinking on what to sell on Fiverr. You can sell virtually anything on Fiverr. All you need to do is think about what you’re good at or what skills you have and think about how you can translate that into a $5 gig. There are people selling themselves doing crazy things and selling legit professional services.

4. It’s easy and quick work

Because it’s only $5 per gig, you’re not expected to do much. You can offer as little or as much as you like and if you get enough orders that you can turnaround quickly in an hour, you can make a decent hourly rate doing it. If you’re able to complete 6 gigs per hour, that’s $24 per hour you’re making on Fiverr. Not only that, you’re working at your own pace and it could be in your boxers at 3 am if you wished.

5. It allows you to promote yourself/your other services

If you have a business or offer some type of online service on somewhere other than Fiverr, you can scale it down and sell it for $5 then up-sell your full service or promote your website. For example, if you’re a web developer, you can offer a basic PHP programming service for $5 then in your gig extras, charge more for more advanced services. Even better, if you have a portfolio or personal website where you advertise your services, send your Fiverr buyers there.

6. Buyers will find you, you don’t find your buyers

If you’re a freelancer like myself, you’ll know how painful and tiresome it can be to spend a lot of time on sites like freelancer.com or oDesk.com and look through jobs and offer proposals only to never be awarded the job. On Fiverr, it’s the other way around. Business owners and website owners who are looking to outsource work will find you on Fiverr. All you have to do is have the gig set up so they can find it.

7. You have nothing to lose

Fiverr costs nothing to sign up and it’s really easy to get started on Fiverr. I will have here soon (if I don’t already) a free video series on how to get setup on Fiverr for beginners. Really, just sign up and throw up 1 gig. See what happens. Maybe before you know it you’ll be a Top Rated Seller and featured in Fiverr’s official blog.

If this doesn’t motivate you enough, just look through Fiverr’s official blog and read more on some of their success stories. Average people earning above-average incomes. Good luck and onward to Fiverr success!
